What is podcasting?
Podcasting sounds like a complicated technical term, but it's actually fairly simple.
Basically, It is a method of receiving audio files over the internet.
It is used to receive video and some other kinds of files, but since the Edward G. Talbot podcast is audio, we'll stick to that.
It is sort of like receiving a radio broadcast on the internet, but where the shows get delivered to you.
What you do is "subscribe" to a podcast. Periodically (every week or so for this podcast), you will receive a new episode on your computer.
All you need to do is have the proper program on your computer to subscribe to the podcast.
And before you start worrying about what program you need, relax.
There are a number of them, including one you've probably heard of - Itunes.
If you are unfamiliar with podcasts, I highly recommend using ITunes.
Millions of people use it to download music, and it is easy to install.
You can click a button on the Listen to New World Orders page that will bring you right into ITunes to subscribe with one more click.
In Itunes, you can choose different options such as how often you want to receive new episodes, but you don't have to actually do anything other than click the subscribe button.
IF you do not have Itunes, you can download it or get more information at www.itunes.com.
That's it. Anyone can do it. But if even that feels like a bit too much, we have an even simpler method on this site.
